[ARCHIVED] Spectator Code of Conduct

Spectator Code of Conduct

Welcome to today’s game! To ensure a positive experience for all our young athletes, we ask that all spectators adhere to the following principles:

  • Prioritize the Experience: Remember that youth sports are for the athletes’ enjoyment, not for adult entertainment. Let them play, learn, and have fun.
  • Value Effort Over Results: Maintain realistic expectations. Celebrate "doing one’s best" as much as winning, and never ridicule an athlete for making a mistake.
  • Respect the Officials: Support the officials' decisions and encourage others to do the same. Without them, the game cannot take place.
  • Appreciate Our Volunteers: Show gratitude to our coaches. They have generously volunteered their time to provide these opportunities for our youth.
  • Promote Fair Play: Encourage athletes to compete by the rules and resolve all conflicts calmly, without hostility or violence.
  • Honor the Opponent: Treat the opposing team with respect. They are our partners in competition, and there would be no game without them.
  • Model Positive Language: Refrain from using foul language or harassing athletes, coaches, officials, or fellow spectators.
  • Lead by Example: Always demonstrate good sportsmanship. Our young people learn more from our actions than our words.

Important Safety Note: Only officials, coaches, and players are permitted on the playing surface at any time during the game.
