On February 10, 2017, Pierce Manufacturing Company made the announcement that Job: 30318 is now in the process of being manufactured. They have started construction of the Pierce PUC (Pierce Ultimate Configuration) Side-Mount Pump Engine and have completed the exterior work of the cab, painted the cab and began work on the truck body. Pierce Manufacturing is keeping us updated with construction completions throughout the process. The KDFR Truck Committee is scheduled to go out to the Appleton, Wisconsin Manufacturing Facility in mid-March to perform the final review and inspection of the vehicle. Pierce Manufacturing has advised the truck is running on schedule and should have a Delivery Date by Mid April.
