KTV - Channel 2

KTV - Channel 2 is the City of Kinston's Government Access Channel and is available on Suddenlink cable television in the Kinston area and on the City's YouTube Channel. Government access television is a resource for municipalities to address local programming needs. It is often used to broadcast city council meetings, election programming, local emergency announcements, and other events and programs valued by the local government.

Programming

Programming consists of the following:

City Council meetings (live) - 1st and 3rd Mondays each month at 5:30 p.m.; replayed at various times
Planning and Zoning meetings occur during Council meeting meetings
Announcements of City meetings, events, services, and job opportunities
City closings, delays, and holiday schedules
Safety and crime prevention tips
Recreation and Parks programs
Recycling and sanitation information
Videos with fire safety information
Other special government-related announcements and events
