Comprehensive master plans are essential in for municipalities to set goals, capital improvements, and guide future monetary actions for agencies. Kinston/Lenoir County Parks and Recreation’s previous master plan was done in 2010 and covered the period of 2011-2018. This plan will be used as a long-term document to guide Kinston/Lenoir County for future projects, staffing, and programming. The comprehensive master plan will also guide future capital investment decisions for the city/county over the next 10-15 years.
